Pennsylvania or Bust!

Great news on the direct-to-consumer shipping front – you will now be able to ship to consumers directly in Pennsylvania. Governor Tom Wolf signed H 1690 in June, which will allow wineries to obtain a direct sales permit. This law allows 36 cases annually per customer to be shipped at a tax rate of $2.50 per gallon plus applicate local sales taxes.

Effective in August, it will definitely take time to set up the licensing and permit end of the business in Pennsylvania, so we aren’t quite ready to start shipping yet but get that application information ready so when they are ready, you can be first in line for a permit!
